Ask a friend or neighbour to watch your house, remove junk and personal mail, collect newspapers, mow the lawn and water your plants, and occasionally park their car in your driveway;
Cancel any deliveries, such as milk and newspapers;
Install electric timers for lights, TV and radio;
Turn down the volume on your telephone or redirect;
Install external sensor lights;
If not already a member, consider joining your Local Neighbourhood Watch Program.
