KORDON Termite Barriers

No other termite protection incorporates so many benefits. KORDON Termite Barriers are:

It is compulsory to use a termite barrier in any new Australian building. The options range from chemical sprays to a variety of physical barriers. Developed and made in Australia. KORDON Termite Barrier is a unique combination of repellent termiticide, physical termite barrier and moisture membrane.

KORDON provides the best features of both chemical and physical barriers. Most chemical barriers break down in the soil through oxidation and microbial action, but the deltahethrin in KORDON is incorporated into a fibrous webbing sandwiched between two layers of plastic sheeting, one of which forms the moisture barrier. This layering both extends the life of the chemical barrier, and protects installers, home owners and the environment. Tests have shown that termites are repelled before they even come into contact with KORDON, which means they have no opportunity to find small gaps and overlaps in the sheeting.

Each square metre of KORDON contains the same amount of deltamethrin, so all areas of your house will be equally well protected.

Protection For Builders

Although the building industry has several levels of responsibility, builders are ultimately liable for structural damage by termites. KORDON gives builders guaranteed protection and peace of mind.

Preferred By Architects

A survey of architects and building designers showed that a majority of those who were aware of KORDON preferred it to any other method of termite protection. KORDON protects the integrity of their designs and the environment, presents fewer installation problems than many other physical barriers, and may well extend the life of their buildings.
