HomeFront is an initiative of the Department of Veterans' Affairs, designed to prevent falls and accidents in the home. The program is available to all DVA card holders and the HomeFront assessment is free of charge.

Arranging an assessment is as simple as phoning 1800 80 1945 and the Department will take it from there. Some of the issues that HomeFront addresses include:

Cluttered walkways,
Wet or slippery floors;
Grab rails;
Unsafe steps or railings;
Poor lighting; and
Hazardous surfaces.
