Instead of spraying for pests and insects consider some other environmentally friendly solutions. One of the ways to help keep pest numbers down in your garden and house is to have a frog friendly garden.

Frogs need insects to eat, humidity, some places to hide and a area in which to breed. You can help to establish frogs in your garden by growing plants of varying heights.

By using mulch and compost around the garden you will attract insects which will also provide food for the frogs.
Frog love vegetable gardens and greenhouses - by having a frog presence in the garden especially the veggie garden they will keep the numbers of pests that eat your vegetables down.
Try to avoid using chemicals in the garden - as frogs are very susceptible to them - they absorb chemicals through their skins easily - they may also eat poisoned insects.
The best way to attract frogs is to create a pond or water feature with a lot of plants at various heights in and around the pond. This will be a source of water for them as well as providing them a place to breed. An above ground pond about 50cm high is a better option as this protects the area from cane toads.
If you don't want to have a pond at least keep the garden well watered.
