"Envirowood" is manufactured in Queensland by a family business that really cares about our environment.

Finlayson Timber and Hardware have been manufacturing solid timber windows and doors for well over 100 years. In fact they had one of the very first joinery factories here in Brisbane. Some four generations later, Finlayson's are still producing the finest quality solid timber joinery available.

It has been a long term goal of the Finlayson Family and their staff to substitute rainforest species commonly used in the manufacture of joinery for a species that is plantation grown.

Finally after many years of product development and testing, with the assistance from a number of external parties, including the Department of Primary Industries Forestry, Finlayson's can now offer to the environmentally conscious home owner "Envirowood". Plantation timber: "Envirowood" is manufactured from plantation hoop pine. Only certain parts of a hoop pine log are acceptable for Envirowood manufacture. Finlayson's have their own sawmills and have put into place a unique selection and grading process to ensure only the best quality hoop pine is used for Envirowood.
