Energy Labels - they are changing

There are some changes to the existing labels that you should be aware of

most appliances will now be awarded less stars although the performance of the actual appliance will not change
the appliance delivered to your home may feature the original label, as warehouse stock is not being re-labelled. Remember, the appliance and its performance is identical to the model you selected in the store
the new label can be identified by a green band at the base
if the appliance was rated under the previous standard, details of that original star rating may be found inside the green band at the bottom of the new label
from July 1 to September 30, new Energy Rating labels went through a phasing in period, you may still see the old and new labels side by side on many store display models.
