Fire Ants are aggressive invaders that could destroy our outdoor lifestyle, environment and agricultural production.

Fire ant facts

Small (from 2mm to 6mm).
Reddish-brown in colour.
Aggressive and, if disturbed, readily attack.
Sings are painful, causing blistering and, sometimes, an allergic reaction.
Nests can be up to 40cm high, often a dome shape.
Nests usually have no entry/exit hole.

PLEASE check your yard for fire ants.

If you think that you have found fire ants:

do not touch them;
ring the DPI Call Centre on 13 25 23 and report what you have found.
